ChatROAS ("we", "us") is a tool that lets you analyze and manage your Google Ads accounts by chatting with an AI assistant. This policy explains what data we access when you sign in with Google, how we use it, where it is kept, and the choices you have. It covers the website at chatroas.ai and the app at app.chatroas.ai.

1. Data we access

You sign in with your Google account. During sign-in, Google asks you to grant us the permissions below, and we access only what those permissions cover.

  • Basic profile (name, email address, profile picture): to identify you and show who is signed in.
  • Google Ads (the adwords permission): the accounts you can access, including client accounts under a manager account, and their campaigns, ad groups, keywords, negative keywords, ads, search terms, landing pages, budgets, bidding settings, recommendations, change history, and performance metrics. This permission also lets us apply the changes you confirm in the app.
  • Google Analytics (the analytics.readonly permission): the list of your Google Analytics 4 properties and read-only traffic and conversion reports for the property you choose to link. We cannot change anything in Google Analytics.

We also receive the messages you type in the chat and the preferences you ask the assistant to remember.

2. How we use your data

  • To show your account data in the app and answer the questions you ask.
  • To prepare the account changes you request and show them to you for approval.
  • To apply a change to your Google Ads account, only after you confirm it in the app.
  • To keep you signed in and to keep the service secure and working.

We do not use your Google data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to build profiles about you.

3. AI processing

Answers are generated by a large language model provided by OpenAI. To answer a question, we send OpenAI your message and the parts of your Google Ads or Google Analytics data that are needed for that answer. We do not use your Google data to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine learning models, and we send it to OpenAI through its API, under terms that do not allow OpenAI to use API data to train its models by default.

4. Where your data is kept

  • Google Ads and Analytics data is read live from Google when you use the app. We do not keep a database of it. Our server holds it in memory for a few minutes to avoid repeating the same request, and then discards it.
  • Sign-in tokens issued by Google are kept in a temporary server session (up to 7 days) and in secure, HTTP-only cookies in your own browser (up to 90 days) so you do not have to sign in again on every visit.
  • Conversations, preferences, and your list of connected accounts are stored in your browser's local storage on your device, not on our servers.
  • Server logs may record your email address and technical details of requests, such as times and errors, for troubleshooting.

5. Who we share data with

We share data only with the service providers needed to run the product:

  • Google, to read your data and apply the changes you confirm, through the Google Ads API and the Google Analytics APIs.
  • OpenAI, to generate answers, as described in section 3.
  • Heroku (Salesforce), which hosts the app, and GoDaddy, which hosts this website.

We may also disclose data when the law requires it. We do not transfer your data to anyone else.

6. Google API Services User Data Policy

Our use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Cookies

The app uses only the cookies it needs to work: a session cookie and cookies that keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts.

8. Your choices: access, deletion, and revoking access

  • Sign out in the app to end your session. The sign-in cookies stay in your browser for up to 90 days so your next sign-in is quicker; clear the cookies for app.chatroas.ai to remove them.
  • Clear your browser's site data for app.chatroas.ai to delete your conversations, preferences, and connected accounts list.
  • Revoke our access at any time in your Google account, under Third-party apps with account access. After that we can no longer read or change anything in your accounts.
  • Ask us about your data, or ask us to delete anything we hold about you, by writing to optimizer@gads.expert.

9. Security

All traffic uses HTTPS. Sign-in tokens are kept in HTTP-only cookies that page scripts cannot read, and our Google credentials are kept only on the server. Changes to your account require your confirmation in the app. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

ChatROAS is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If the change affects how we use your Google data, we will ask for your consent again before it applies to you.
